This very cool beach hut greeted us as we pulled up to Punalu'u Beach on the Big Island. This black sand beach was rumored to be gorgeous, but it had a surprise in store: sea turtles!! Tons of them! Taking a little nap on the beach in a walled-off enclosure. Later when I looked at the photo I took of this hut, I realized that some of the little decals on the front were turtles. So it's possible that this is a well-known thing about this beach and we were just oblivious lol.
