I loved the view from Styykisholmur lighthouse of the colorful blocky buildings on the sloping, winding Sk?lastigur street, so I snapped a pic. 2 years later, I finally have a painting! Planning 14 more Iceland paintings in the next 2 months.
Fun fact: I became obsessed with the idea of visiting Iceland after watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty...aaaand there's a Walter Mitty bar in Stykkisholmur...AND I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL TODAY. It's where they filmed the Major Tom scene!! So now I guess we have to go back so I can grab a small beer shoe there.
