Trail Ridge Tapestry

60x60 original acrylic on canvas

It reminds me of soft, white unbaked sugar cookies with lots of rainbow sprinkles ๐Ÿ˜Š And it also reminds of two years ago, when I visited @rockynps with my in-laws and we drove #trailridgeroad each day to get from our AirBNB into the park. So beautiful. So nerve-wracking lol. I'm fairly certain my reference photo for this painting was so blurry because I was taking photos with my eyes shut. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ

"Trail Ridge Road snakes roughly fifty miles across Rocky Mountain National Park, from Estes Park to Grand Lake. Planned and built from about 1929 to 1938, the road provided a safer route across the Continental Divide for the parkโ€™s growing number of visitors. Trail Ridge Road reaches an elevation of 12,183 feet, making it the highest continuous paved road in the United States." - coloradoencyclopedia.org

Did I mention there is no guardrail?
